Sent out 80 soldiers, got back 81
In the Austro-Prussian War of 1866 Prince Johann II sent Liechtenstein's army to guard the Stilfser Joch pass against the Italians. Popular legend says 80 men went to war and 81 came back, the extra man an Austrian liaison officer or an Italian farmer.
