The last Hohenstaufen, beheaded at 16
Conradin, last of the Hohenstaufen line, invaded Italy to win back his inheritance. Charles of Anjou beat him at Tagliacozzo, captured him and had him beheaded in Naples on 29 October 1268, aged 16.
